Mandela’s legacy

What a privilege to have been in Johannesburg the week of Mandela’s passing. What an incredible man who stood for what be believed in, no matter how great the consequences. He was determined to build a better nation, a safer, more equitable home for his people. Even after 27 years punishment for his beliefs, he still embodied a humble forgiveness. He did ultimately rebuild the nation one brick at a time – built on the foundations of forgiveness and reconciliation. He was a consistent fighter for his beliefs and his legacy will live on forever, both in South Africa and around the world.

So, what is your legacy? What do you want to be remembered for? We all have the opportunity in our lives to leave an impression on others, no matter how large or small. Is your legacy something you’ve done? Something you’ve created? How you make people feel?

I challenge you to define your legacy and embody it in everything you do.
